Throughout my practicum, I am focused on achieving distinct goals that support my growth on personal, professional, and leadership levels. Personally, I am committed to becoming more self-aware by engaging in consistent reflective practices. These reflections will allow me to better understand how I manage stress, adapt to change, and navigate the clinical setting during challenging scenarios. Strengthening this awareness will contribute to building resilience and adaptability—qualities essential to a successful nursing career.

From a professional standpoint, I aim to elevate my clinical competencies through the integration of evidence-based practices. Enhancing my physical assessment skills and providing culturally sensitive care remain central to my development. Upholding DEI principles allows me to tailor care approaches that consider each patient’s cultural background, thus ensuring dignity and equity in treatment. Moreover, advocating for underrepresented groups reinforces a more just and patient-centered model of care.

However, I acknowledge the presence of implicit biases—subconscious attitudes or stereotypes that can influence my clinical judgments. These biases may inadvertently affect patient interactions, resulting in unequal care delivery. Addressing such biases is vital to achieving professional integrity and ethical leadership. I can counteract these effects through regular self-assessment, continuing education, and by seeking diverse perspectives that broaden my worldview.
